Future Mobility Experience/ 2018
As part of SCAD research and development efforts with Uber, this project explored user experience concepts for vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) mobility. Building on the direction of my thesis topic, I used this work to examine how future air mobility could reshape everyday movement and lifestyle patterns.
I led early concept framing by developing future-use scenarios and experience narratives around Uber Elevate, then refined them through more segmented research. This phase extended my thesis inquiry into more specific interaction and service questions, generating deeper insights about rider expectations, trust, and transition points across new mobility systems.
The outcome was a clearer strategic direction for future mobility experience concepts and a stronger research foundation for design decisions. Just as importantly, the project helped consolidate the broader body of investigation that informed and completed my thesis work.
